We had a great meeting at Raj's Bar & Grill on the deck under the pergola! Thanks to the residents who attended and provided comments!

Selected meeting votes and notes:

  • LLA maintenance requested: broken end cap on basketball retaining wall, cleaning of wired lamps, sprinkler system at front entrance.

  • Vote: ask LLA to offer PGC a 1-year extension on mowing/landscape contract.

  • Vote: holiday lights approved to go up in October, will be lit after Thanksgiving.

  • Vote: approve purchase of camera/mic to allow "hybrid" in-person/online board meetings in future.

  • Neighborhood Improvement committee:

    • Met with LLA and MidAtlantic Mailboxes to firm up solar lamp order and get 4 street signs and Do Not Enter sign replaced. Some are custom sizes/shapes.

    • Vote: approve changes to 2022 LLA budget request for new lampposts with solar lamps at major intersections in the back part of WestWinds. Lamps will be same model as those in pool parking lot. Will NOT convert wired lamps to solar. Wired lamp at front entrance will be repaired. Work scheduled for this Fall/Winter.

  • Social committee has a great slate of events for this year. Stay tuned for a Halloween-themed event October 28th, 4-8 pm at Raj's!

  • ECC - lots of mailboxes being repaired/upgraded! Vote: 2009 fine schedule updated to align with LLA.

  • Cherry Run survey completed. Letter will be sent to developer with copies to LLA, planning commission, and District 2 rep Steve McKay.

  • BoD work session will be held 1st week of November. Work sessions are open to residents and minutes are taken, but include no votes or resident forum. This allows board to focus on more complex issues.

With information on everything from recycling and trash pickups to snow emergency routes, pool and amenity info, golf cart registration and rules, and annual assessments, this is a great resource for both new and "old" residents!

Please keep in mind when reading the ECC sections that WestWinds residents should submit applications to the WWECC and follow the WWECC guidelines. Questions? Contact the WWECC - we're happy to help!
